Discuss and share some of your favorite biographies, encyclopedias, historical nonfiction books, and so on here!
One of my favorite nonfiction books that I have is my copy of The Encyclopedia of World Mythology. It has a quite a bit of very interesting historical information about variety of regions in the world including Europe, Asia, and South America. To be honest, I wish it was even longer than it actually is!
What about you guys?

Love magazines. They're non-fiction right?

My Social Anthropology class has me reading a lot of nonfiction books this semester, specifically ethnographies. The most recent one we had to read was called Portraits of "The Whiteman" and I really, really enjoyed it.

50 Facts That Should Change The World 2.0.
It's a collection of 50 essays (by the same person) about things that could greatly influence the future world, no matter how trivial they seem.
Here's one: If you stand at the Junction of Oxford Street and Regent Street in central London, there are 161 branches of Starbucks within a five-mile radius.
It's talking about rapidly expanding franchises and their impacts.

Personally I'm a big fan of The State and Revolution by Vladimir Lenin and despite being a pacifist, I've always found The Art of War fascinating.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir is a favorite of mine. I've said it before, an I'll say it again, she is outstanding.
I also really enjoyed Geisha, a Life by Mineko Iwasaki. It's fascinating.
