Just one flaw in your theory: Gardevoir isn't in the Fairy Egg Group.

Plus, there are a few dual-typed Pokemon like Roserade and Froslass that couldn't possibly become Fairy-type. And I highly doubt that Pikachu's gonna become a Fairy-type any time soon.

Alright, looks I jumped the gun there, but that last part... heheh.

I mean, if Marill, an Aquatic Mouse, managed to get retyped into Fairy, then what could stop the mascot of Pokemon?

That and Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu honestly need the gameplay buff. They're not necessarily that powerful in combat.

Um, they're pretty good. I once took out a freaking Kyurem with a Pikachu. Plus, it's the way that Pikachu is portrayed. Pikachu is just portrayed as an Electric-type. Honestly, there really isn't much of a chance that Pikachu's gonna get a type change.

Interesting idea with retyping all the Fairy Egg Group, including Pikachu. But yeah, Pikachu and Raichu are just underused. They're still good, even if you need the Light Ball if you're using Pikachu.

Pichu, he's talking about the Pokemon tier list set up by Competitive Pokemon Battlers.

Underused and Neverused are just two tiers in a list of many, and the Pikachu family are all within the Neverused tier due to how frail they are in combat.

Ugh, I don't even play Competitive Pokemon. It's so cheap due to all of the shiny and legendary hacks. That's why I don't even play it anymore.

It feels oh so nice when one makes legitimate teams and proceeds to wreck those hacks right?

But anyways, the tier list honestly doesn't even matter for most Pokemon. For example, Blaziken was an "Underused" Pokemon back in Gen 4, due to being outclassed by Infernape, and I still used it because I liked it's design over Infernape's.

I proceeded to trample many of my critics with well timed attacks.
