What makes dragon more special than the others? xD No, I'm meaning that there are two different kinds of types: Physical and Special. The Physical types are Normal, Ghost, Bug, Ground, Rock, Steel, Poison, Flying, Fighting. The Special types are Grass, Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Psychic, Dark, and Dragon. Notice that all of the past Eeveelutions have all been Special types. Every Special type has been used except for Dragon. Only one type left, only one Eeveelution. Totally Dragon. But let's say if they do make the new eeveelutions in parings, sylveon might be flying while the other new eeveelution might be dragon and maybe they are keeping this one a secret x3 |

Doubtful. In my opinion, if there was another Eeveeloution, they would've revealed it already for the special Sylveon short in the new movie. Sylveon's obviously the only one, and with there only being one, it's more than likely Dragon.

Oh and you know what else I'd like??? For both the male and female friends to be closer in the game. Like, I want them to be rivals and best friends and like, gfhydujesiwgyfhrdujesw yeahhh. I liked the other rivals, don't get me wrong. But to have other rivals plus your female/male counterpart!? THAT'D BE WAY TOO COOL. Also, that way it will be a lot more fun to ship them! <3 wait close like in the sense of loving them? No, I meant as closer friends. We never really have that happen ya' know?; ~ ; Doubtful. In my opinion, if there was another Eeveeloution, they would've revealed it already for the special Sylveon short in the new movie. Nah, I'm pretty sure that Espeon and Umbreon were released around the same time, and the same goes for Glaceon and Leafeon. If there was meant to be a pair, we would have seen the other one by now. Sylveon's the only one for sure.

I still have to disagree with that though, considering how everything has been in pairs they have little reason to not do it again. Every set of Eeveelution has had their hierarchy of one being beaten by another in typing. And while I can't say what Sylveon is I also have my aforementioned reasons of why I doubt it's Dragon-Type. Although the idea of new type/s coming in is still the prevalent thought in my head as to its type.
The reason that they are simply hyping up popularity for the new gen is reason enough as to why only one would have been shown. The starters are a no brainer and Mewtwo's is showing up in the next movie. Sylveon is the last just to wet the whistle as to proving that there are going to be more Eeveelutions. They're toying with fans and they know it, so there's no reason to reveal both. They'll get more reaction from just one.

PichuAuraGuardian19 - Outside of Eevee itself Joleton, Vaporeon, and Flareon line up just like the others. As a Normal-Type, Eevee is always going to be an oddball out considering that it's one of two types that have a single weakness. And the other reason I have to say that it's normal is the obvious that it's effectively vanilla in that it can be changed to any flavor you want and that's why I've always excluded her from the idea of countering. And the fact that she is above that rally also makes her the best choice out of them all. When it comes to the reasoning as to why only one, I can reiterate my point actually. By only revealing Sylveon they create this exact argument that we're having. If they showed both then it would simply be everyone trying to figure out what type they are. By giving out a lone Pokemon outside of the starters and movie star, and an Eeveelution at that, it created the atmosphere of so much more. Especially considering unlike all the others this one is very ambiguous as to it's element which lead to the idea of a new type. By revealing two they could solidify that idea as to yes or no all too easily. So as you see while it would be simple to reveal both by doing just Sylveon they are creating a much larger hype than if they revealed both. It's all about publicity, they want the name to get out on the internet and everyone talking about it. The more people talk about it beforehand the larger their initial sales will be. And while I know the chances are slim, after a little thought I'm actually hoping that Sylveon is Bug-Type, or even the even slimmer chance of Rock-Type. If the two new Eeveelutions were those two types it would be a perfect finisher for the Eevee family if Gen VI is truly their final games. Jolteon->Vaporeon->Flareon->Glaceon->Leafeon->(Rock-Type)->(Bug-Type)->Umbreon->Espeon
