It's cute and since I pick most Pokémon because of their design, then I would pick him for being my starter Pokémon. However, if I had to choose another, I would choose Froakie.

I can't really see a Fox evolving into something that can fight. Plus, it's the more feminine starter this time, so that helps.

Gengar - Maybe, but that would be my initial guess as well.

Pichu - Yeah that too, as I said at some point before many kids wouldn't get the reference unless there was actually a new genetic type of option that they included.

As for the starter, I won't say for sure until I have more info but if I had to pick now it would be Fenneken. Fire is my standard and when you have something that looks similar to Eevee as a starter I can't really say no.

According to some comments I saw on a YouTube video of the trailer, the letters X and Y represent two dimensions in mathematics. Should there be a sequel, it's obviously gonna be called Z because it is the third dimension. And people keep saying it might have to do with genes!
