Yes, like Gengar said, you wont be able to trade. Only transfer Pokemon's from HG/SS to B/W/B2/W2 instead of the other way around. It's like that with every new gen. It's because the other game is older and doesn't have the data of the new Pokemon's.
And the new games were awesome by the way! They were a lot more fun than D/P/Plt. (well, in my opinion anyway's.xD).
The story was awesome!

Okay, you can transfer Pokemon's from your HG/SS to any game. But you can't transfer Pokemon's from a newer game (so games that came after HG/SS) to HG/SS.

Nothing is confirmed as of yet however.

He looks pretty cool for a rival imo.

It's a shame really, as the rival looked pretty cool.
