I got Y on Sunday pre-owned. I waited until yesterday to start all over, because I went to a friend's house and we traded all the idiot's Pokemon from that file to my new game file. So in the first 9 hours of the game, I already have a Mewtwo, Yveltal, all three Kalos and Kanto starters, a lot of Eevees to evolve them all, a Trevenant, a Ditto, a Golett, a Noibat, and so much else along with beginning Pokemon found early on.
Edit: Oh and a Gengar with the Gengarite.

In regards to my question, here are some pros and cons of Chesnaught.
Pros:
"Bulky Hitter"--Chesnaught is built to take and deliver punches. Although his attacks themselves aren't too deadly, his move set for smacking the enemy around is excellent.
"Warning: Sharp Edges"--Chesnaught's Spiky Shield is Protect on steroids. With the ability to damage anyone who makes physical contact while nullifying their attack simultaneously, it's yet another reason why you don't want to get close to this guy.
"Fire Away"--Where Hidden Abilities are concerned, Bulletproof is certainly unique. It prevents damage from a large array of "Bullet", "Ball", and "Bomb" moves. This ability is an alliterative apocalypse for foes who rely on those moves.
"Light On Your Toes"--Most players equate power with slowness in competitive. On the contrary, Chesnaught is quite speedy when he wants to be, opening his options even further. With decent Sp. Attack, he can even use this speed to become a Special Sweeper.
"Full Arsenal"--Chesnaught excels not only due to strength and stamina, but because it is diverse. It's move pool is surprisingly large and can counter a majority of foes, even those pesky super effective strikers.
Cons:
"From the Sky"--Flying types are Chesnaught's worst nightmare. With 4x damage on flying moves, they are a huge hazard. Luckilly, many flying moves used in competitive battles are physical and fall prey to outrageous defense and Spiky Shield hazards.
"Penetrating the Defense"--Chesnaught's special defense is the chink in its armour, being its lowest stat. Combined with the fact that the majority of Pokemon it is weak to rely on special moves, this severely limits the big guy's long-range fighting power.
"All-purpose; Except Most of the Time"--Bulletproof may give Chesnaught an edge, but the moves it protects from rarely appear competitively, save for a select few. If you're raising your pal for competitive play, you may just be better off with Overgrow.
"Sonic and Knuckles"--That power Chesnaught is packing becomes moot if he can be outsped. Though his speed stat is good, it's nowhere near the fastest. A few quick super effective special attacks and this guy is roasted.
If there are any others you guys think of, let me know!

Cons: Wide open: Chesnaught cause of its pros is so easily out played, predicted. Also, making it one of the #1 pokemon that can easily be turned into a set-up father You can just switch-in set up sweep teams just because chesnaught couldn't do shit.
