Yeah, I mean, there was that whole thing with Tobias. Plus, in the games, N was able to challenge Alder even though we never saw him in a gym battle. He would need all 8 badges to do that. mewWell, it's just a theory. I mean, you never know for certain. |

Maybe Team Plasma will make his move at the final round of the tournament and make N participate as the finalist against Ash. The one who wins could take on Alder.

Okay, from Mew's pic of the 64 trainers entering the first round after the preliminaries, Ash is facing a nobody. See? Not Stephan...
Would love it Ash ended up facing Alder...then PLOU would truely make sense in a way.

Well, in the Sinnoh League, there was one episode that started with Ash's Snorlax taking out a Grumpig and moving Ash on to the next round. It could happen.

Maybe Trip had the opportunity, but now he's out and it was a 1 VS. 1 battle. Not a full match like the others. What are the producers thinking? They are expecting us to be excited about Ash fighting another rival? Kotetsu? Please...if it wasn't for Ash he wouldn't even be in the League.

Yeah I agree with that Mew. Considering for the first time he truly tried to focus on simply winning the tournament and not just try and win with what he caught there.
But either way they're still killing the series one season at a time IMO.

Actually, there's really no confirmed 6-on-6 battles yet. I think that Ash's battle with Kotetsu is just supposed to be a 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 match. Not sure since the info on Bulbapedia only has Pikachu and Pignite listed while Kotetsu has Samurott, Hydreigon, and Swanna. If Ash loses against him, all of my respect for Ash at this point will be just about gone.
