To be honest, I think the best he could get would be runner-up =/
Kanto - Top 16
Jotho - Top 8
Hoenn - Top 8
Sinnoh - Top 4
Unova - Runner-up or Top 4 again
That's just my opinion on that :/ He has to face his rival Trip in the first round, but as of now, Ash always defeated his rival within the league

Here's a spoiler! Please, don't read if you don't want to know how it could end! Ash will defeat his rival Trip and advance to the next round! Ash will win the next round as well and advances to the next round! As of now, it's sure that Ash will be in the Top 32 of the league, although I expect that he'll go far in this tournament! |

yea i agree with you gohan but i am surprised he faces trip this early on because normally he faces his rival in the victory tourny and then goes home the next round. also even if you wanted to you couldn't say if ash won or lose since it didn't show the whole battle

Anything lower than top 4 would be a step down and that has never happened. Hopefully, it does happen this time if only because Ash's team seems mediocre and I wish they'd stop with the whole "Unevolved Pokemon are better" deal that I thought they had droppes in Gen III and IV.
