Pichu/Latios - Glad you two remember it so well. I took a little time to see how a real sonic boom would affect things when I was thinking it up, but had to kinda tone it down considering I didn't want the crowd to have to worry about some of the effect, heh.
So as for the other one.
I'd like to start with my normal two battlers, a pair of sister Eevee who would evolve into Espeon and Umbreon.
Sinnoh: Espeon, Umbreon, Gabite (caught as Gible), Milotic (caught as Feebas), Luxio, Drapion
Hoenn: Espeon, Umbreon, Milotic, Aggron (caught as an Aron), Metang, Breloom (caught as a Shroomish)
Kanto: Espeon, Umbreon, Lapras, Garchomp, Raichu (caught as Pikachu), Ninetales (caught as Vulpix)
Johto: Espeon, Umbreon, Starmie (caught as Staryu), Pupitar (caught as Larvitar), Scizor (caught as Scyther), Snorlax
Unova: Espeon, Umbreon, Milotic, Tyranitar, Chendelure (caught as a Lampert), Leavanny (caught as a Sewaddle)
Typical Final: Espeon, Umbreon, Milotic, Garchomp, Tyranitar, Starmie
As for true goal, probably kinda what Ash is doing and keep looking for more challenges until bored or tired of traveling. Along the way I'd be aiming mostly for the regional tournaments with coordinating on the side to expand the practice as a goal as well, maybe even winning a Grand Festival or two. Other than that try and get Espeon and Umbreon to be the best at double battling. After all of that I'd probably take something like a Frontier Brain or Gym position if offered, otherwise a Pokemon Professor.
Advancers to travel with:
1) Gengar - I get the feeling that we would get along well and he would add a bit more comedy to the trip
2) Phil - While I know that after a few more years he would definitely be smarter than me, it would be a good friendly rivalry that wouldn't amount to much outside of simply trying to one-up the other
3) Sara - She would feel kinda like the mother of the group, probably not to the point of Brock but someone to keep everything together
4) Pichu - Much like a mix between Gengar and Phil, someone to train with but still brings a bit of activity to the group as well
5) Aly - Much like Sara, but a bit more hyper
Rivals: Beast and Raichu
The hardest gym... I'd probably have to say Blackthorn Gym. In Johto I'm using the least amount of previously trained Pokemon so they're mostly relative newbies going up against Dragon-Types. Not to mention Clair's Kingdra is always annoying...

Phil - It was during Ash's double battle with Pidgeot and Pikachu climbing up into the air and shooting back down to create a sonic boom with Pikachu coming down right after.

Yeah, I think I read somewhere once that a small object has a very small sonic boom, and that something as small as a human having a sonic boom would only have an effect radius of about five metres. We just need to figure out how big a Pideot is, and we could calculate the exact radius of effect. |

Yeah 5m would barely be enough. Definitely would have taken out Fearow and possibly Marowak, but the trainers and crowd would be questionable at best. And even if they wouldn't feel the physical effects of the sonic boom itself the resulting blast of sound would have been hard to figure out without finding the right papers. I like researching into ideas that I make in my stories but that's just too much work for something too few people would completely understand.

Miltanks/tauros = steak. Pork = swinub/emboar lines. Chicken =  . Fish = fish Pokemon. Simple as that. There will be vegatarians, still. |

The Pokedex keep on mentioning real animals so I just figured we got our meat from them.
