A Let's Play is less like a walkthrough because the point of a Let's Play is not to show you how to get through the game but to witness someone else's experience playing through the game. More often then not, they are humourous in nature and sometimes also detailed where the LPer explores every single aspect of the game. Some LPs are also done from character perspectives where the LPer acts as though he/she is actually a character from the games.
The point is, LPs are not Walkthroughs.
Let's Plays come in two formats. Video which can be easily found on Youtube but also text-and-caption based. Games done in these formats are usually more static in the gameplay and often older games. For caption based LPs, check out LP Archive which has lots of LPs done mostly by Something Awful members.
I would never recommend watchinga Let's Play of a game that you yourself haven't finished. The enjoyment comes from watching someone else play and make fun and/or suffer during the more frustrating aspects of the game.
