@phil No, because the way they have it the movies never interact with the actual show. They're split apart fully and neither ever have anything to do with each other. Aura was introduced in Movie 8 and interacted with the show when they met Riley.

He would be correct. We Advanceshippers were, as a whole, overjoyed when that episode came out. While it directly had nothing to do with May, it made Movie 9 canon with the anime series and thus cleared another hurdle that the other shippings argued us about.

Okay, one, I never said anything to do with that. And two, did Kevin delete his account?
And I never said that there are absolutely none. It's just that they change a lot of things and barely any references in the anime.
And actually, Kevin is incorrect. Aura may have been introduced in Movie 8, but there was no mention at all in the episodes with Riley about Movie 8.
And anyways, I was trying to answer Gerbil's question about definite crushes. No matter how much we hope, Movie 9 only contains hints.

I could have sworn that they referenced Ash having aura prior to then in that episode. I remember actually going out of my way to watch it even though I wasn't really watching episodes at the time.

Maybe the Pokemon Ranger episode with the Aura Sphere-using Riolu, but it only mentioned that Ash and Riolu's auras were a perfect match. It never mentioned that Ash could use aura either.
