@lucifey valentine
True. Now we are going to know more about maijima and keima's dream. Plus, these writers are probably going to make it seem like an acopolaypse based on the info given by it's preview

lol Like I said, CCS is one of their gentler stories. Tsubasa not so much. As stated before, it starts off deceptively innocent but by the climax (half way through the story) it has a complete genre change. So good luck with that! If you want to stick with their "cutesy" stories, then I recommend Kobato and Magic Knight Rayearth (:

Yx4 - Forgot to respond to that but I see now how you got the valentine in there earlier. Ah, he may not be my favorite character from Soul Eater but you gotta love Black Star. The most simple reasoning and yet it works.

Okay, well I'll give some of the more highly rated and generally popular ones. To make this a little quicker I'll keep the summaries short.
Naruto - Better than the anime if only for the fact that there are no fillers and it flows as it should. Action, adventure, fantasy, comedy, and drama. Set in another world where ninjas exists with supernatural abilities known as jutsu, it's close to a coming of age story following a kid who is originally outcast by the rest of his village for having a demon fox sealed inside of him and his efforts to become not only accepted by the village but to eventually become the leader as well.
Bleach - Action, adventure, fantasy, comedy, martial arts, supernatural, and drama. Essentially same genres as Naruto, this one instead is in the real world but also about the other side, or spirit world. The moderators between the two worlds are known as Shinigami and they keep the souls balanced by sending the dead ones to the afterlife, governing over the ones currently staying in the spirit world, and destroying the ones that become corrupted and turn into creatures known as Hollow. Follows a teenager Kurosaki Ichigo who is naturally aware of the spirits of our world and his acquisition of the powers of the shinigami while dealing with the various quarrels that come up not only between the hollows and the shinigami but finds himself at odds with them as well.
Soul Eater - Part of the manga I just showed, basically the same genres as Bleach (these are currently the most popular for most shounen manga). This one instead is an alternate world where the center of the manga is a school for trainee witch hunters, known as meisters, and their sentient weapons. By killing the witches the weapons slowly gain in power and try to become the ultimate witch killing weapons, death scythes. The comedy is more towards a school life and the supernatural effects and fights between the meisters and the witches.
Mahou Senei Negima - Action, adventure, ecchi, supernatural, romance, harem, martial arts, and several others. This is supposed to be set in our world with the world of mages moving right along with us. Follows child prodigy mage in training Negi Springfield as he is sent to Japan to teach at an all girls high school. Starts off with more of the harem theme with many of the girls in his class falling in love with him and him learning more magic to a true adventure as he travels to the magical world to save the entire place from destruction.
Fairy Tail - Action, adventure, supernatural, comedy, and drama. Set in another world where magic is common place and mages gather together in guilds to perform services to paying customers, this follows the guild known as Fairy Tail and its members. A rather crazy guild that doesn't always follow the rules, and well known for causing collateral damage, they not only deal with the different jobs but the infighting between both other guilds and stray mages.
Like I said that was a quick summary but if you want more info I can put it down for you.

The most simple reasoning and yet it works. Black Star's amusing...but annoying as hell >_< @surendra: I'm fairly familiar with some really good manga. So if you want I can also give you some suggestions. I just need to know what kind of things you like to narrow down my list. I might be more help in manga than Lucifer since I read a bit more than I watch.

Sierra - Yeah you're definitely right about part of that, my manga list is definitely lower than my anime list, it's only at 93 series. But my selection isn't as broad as my anime. I usually just go off of similar genres of the ones I've read or of the corresponding anime I've seen.

You're welcome to make suggestions at any time Sierra, whether it's for manga or anime. Sceptile didn't have any preference so I just mentioned a few of the shounen ones that are rather popular. And in general shounen type manga is well received by most readers, so it's usually a solid recommendation.

^lolol, okay, I'm still replying to this. xD
I completely agree! I really love the Pokemon Adventures manga as well! For those who have read it, what's your favorite arc? Mines has to be the any ones with Red in it (my absolute favorite character of all time in this manga), a close second being the Diamond and Pearl chapters, because well, that was just epic! xD
