Not sure, but it can be... It can also be something about Gen 9... Or something in the anime...? But yeah it could be DP remake... We better bloody not get gen 9 news. People were complaining about Gen 8 feeling rushed. Getting gen 9 now would cause one hell of a shit storm.
D/P/Pt remake is possible but they could also just remake Gen 2 again as a pair of "Let's Go" games.
I'm leaning more towards Gen 4 remakes but I agree that it better not be Gen 9, Sword and Shield was ass. Hopefully they just announce the remakes but don't give a release date so they give themselves at least another year or two for development |

For reference, the last remakes, ORAS, were announced in May 2014 and released later that year in November. And Pokémon games have been released in November lately. So it's plausible that they would announce the remakes either sometime this month or next month (the silver jubilee is at that time, after all) and say they'll be released later in the year.
If the release date is November once again, then that would sure generate a lot of hype if they choose to announce the remakes in January or February. Generation IV is quite a popular generation, after all.
