XD But I actually prefer narusasu than sasunaru. I'd rather have naruto the dominant one if I wantedthat ship to happen. XD |

Aly is right on, and it's not only with the homosexual pairings. There's a reason our shippings are put as SatoHaru, SatoKasu, SatoHika, etc. The first name mentioned is seme and the second is uke. This is just how shippings are named in Japan.
It just usually makes more of a difference in the same sex pairings because in the usual malexfemale pairings the guy is usually the dominant one and thus usually put in front. Though there will obviously be ones out there which won't follow the male as being dominant and thus the girl would be put first.
And this is probably an area of shipping that most people didn't want to learn about, lol

I ship so many things in Naruto, oh dear ._. MinaKushi is my Naruto OTP hands down, I love it so much! I also loved Asuma and Kurenai, gahhh ;_; I'm really hoping for NaruHina, NejiTen, and SasuSaku in the future. I also adore so many crack ships like ItaSaku, GaaSaku, NejiSaku, KakaSaku (seeing a pattern here? xD) Oh, and Mubbzy is an equal partnership through and through  |

Ah, yes, you're very right about that matt. I was just saying its rare to actually use uke and seme when referring to het pairings since those terms aren't typically used. XD
I'd like to think mubbzy is equal in those terms. XD

Sara - Wow, you really like shipping Sakura with people. Funny thing is while those seem like crack ships, from what I know they still have a decent sized following. But I forgot about the MinaKushi pairing, while it is technically canon it was a fun thing reading the seemingly short chapters with those two in it.
Aly - Well they aren't used over here in the Western countries at least. It's second nature to those in Japan but by the time the name SatoHaru comes over here it's lost part of it's meaning, and usually it doesn't make a difference. For the people that generally do straight couple shippings, which is most of us here, it's information that's unnecessary. I only remember it because someone who followed those parings explained it to me when I started to wonder what the difference was.
Beast - Well you're getting a nice general idea of how much more varied the shippings in Naruto are compared to us. So, has any converted you yet? hehe

I do, haha! And you're right, they really are quite popular even though they're very obviously crack-ships. I also enjoy shipping Hinata with pairings like SasuHina, GaaHina, KibaHina, and a variety of others with other characters. Basically, I'm just not all that picky when it comes to Naruto ships xD
I forgot to mention NaruSaku as well, even though I don't fully support it I still think it's sweet and certainly wouldn't complain if it became canon!

Lol that's one reason I like sakura so much.  Lol forgot about minakushi. XD And I actually got converted into liking shikaino because someone requested I write a story lol. XD If you really want me to convert you, well let me prepare a giant wall of text.: p And damn, I feel so closed minded when it comes to naruto ships. |

ShikaIno is a cute ship! So is ChoIno I don't like ShikaTema all that much for some reason. Like, I've read some great ShikaTema fics and seen some great fanart, but in general the pairing is just "eh" for me xD |
