At most, yeah. but its getting towards the ending so I guess that is why I'm liking it a little more? I guess what made me hang around were the characters and how invested I would be until they kill them and my heart is shattered. To me that is what Akame Ga Kill does well. But I hate that the name indicates that Akame is the main character yet the show/manga is like 99% Tatsumi. But if we compared the anime and manga and which is better it will be the manga, even the margin isn't that big. I suggest read the manga because it will do a better at explaining things than the anime such as Akame's skill when she cuts herself with her cursed sword (note: the manga hasn't hinted this at all from my memory so the anime spoiled us on what will happen somewhat) or Tatsumi armor evolving and so on. The Minister's son is treated better in the manga as he his a arc of his own and Bol's family...don't get me started to what happened to them. Fuck, it hurts thinking about them. Although I liked that in the anime Mine dies but in the manga she gets into a coma. I'm not a fan of Mine personally. haha.
Oh, with Bol's family that is interested. They get killed by the Minister's asshole son and his group when they were visiting Bol's grave. Yeah, I was in shock and was for a few hours.
And this was messed up arc oneshot where there were these three innocent girls from the country that went to the city but end up getting used and raped and then they all commit suicide (the last one when the the Night Raid to ask for help before killing herself to join her friends) FUCKED UP I SWEAR. Yeah, I found that a bit confusing. A Tatsumi/Akame shipping didn't go down like I was expecting too. SO FUCKED UP. Meh. I guess they wanted to surprise us... |

It might have something to do with Esdeath's yandere tendencies and the fact that she's much more of a badass than anyone by most people's opinion. Also the perks that came with her position in the army. |
