I loved the movie though, the new one did the original trio justice (finally) does anyone else have a pet-peeve about Episode one projecting the force as midichlorians? (and Storm Trooper's terrible aim?). I got goosebumps all through the movie, and by the end, I'm not kidding, I heart was pumping and couldn't stand still. I was so excited, Episode 7 was absolutely beyond expectations.

does anyone else have a pet-peeve about Episode one projecting the force as midichlorians? Personally? No, not really. It might be a little lazy and less stellar than it could have been, but I am not one of those who screams "BETRAYED!!!!!!!" From the rooftops, and I still like Lucas as a director and believe Episodes 1-3 were good, or at worst average. As for Episode 7, which I just saw the other day: OH MY GOD!!!! IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!! I am so looking forward to the next movie and *spoilers below* Even if I already heard it was going to happen, it made it no better when Han was killed. Also, my family is calling it now for the next movies: Rey is the daughter of Luke Skywalker, and Finn is the son of Lando Calrissian.

You got that right I have a strong vote that Rey is luke's daughter due to the fact that the saber called to her. But I don't think Finn is the son of Lando, he is a clone, morphed and birthed from the mechines so no.
Sorry thats not correct, but he is a clone so no I don't think he'd be Lando's son

Sorry thats not correct, but he is a clone so no I don't think he'd be Lando's son I thought he said that he was taken from a "Family he will never now", like all the other First Order Stormtroopers. Plus, if I remember right unless they changed something, the Empire outlawed cloning technology, with the Emperor keeping a single unit to make clones of himself. We will see I guess.

I just got back from watching it. I thought it wasn't any good. Full of ass pulls. Like Han and Chewie showing up immediately after Rey and Finn left Jakku. Rather convenient. Or Luke's light saber calling to Rey. What was it that Han said? Oh yeah. "That's not how the Force works!" Or the cheap explanation for Poe's survival. Or how Rey is sudden expert at everything. Or how R2 activates for no explained reason. And he conveniently had the map they were looking for but didn't activate until after everything else was resolved. What's the deal R2? Why ya gotta give us the silent treatment? Then there's another fucking death star that lasts about half an hour. Seriously, just stop. Stop making death stars. They suck okay. How the hell is the First Order so powerful in the first place if they're a splinter of the Empire facing the reformed Republic, And let's not get into how it's nearly a scene by scene remake of Episode 4. Some of the scenes near the end were downright identical to scenes from episode 4, busy with aged up characters. So yeah, it was kinda bad. The more I think about, the worse it gets. But I get eviscerated everywhere because the hype is in full force and it is a criminal offence to think that the movie is not good, let alone not perfect.

does anyone else have a pet-peeve about Episode one projecting the force as midichlorians? I for one thought it sounded lazy and confusing, but I'd willingly take that over no explanation at all. But I am also willing to wait for a rebooted explanation to the projection of the Force. Or a continuity error.

The midichlorians are not the force. That is not at all what Episode 1 claimed. You and every other critic makes the same mistake.

┌༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┘ I do agree that it was a almost a scene by scene remake of Episode 4, but what I do when I watch something like that, I just sit at the edge of my seat and just enjoy it. I have enough critics coming from my dad so I just shut them out and enjoy it for what it is: A chance to see and experiance more of my all time series Star Wars. (But you are right, the fact that Rey was suddenly able to get better with the Force in the span of half an hour? That was kinda stretching it. But...like Yoda said in Episode 5 when Luke said : "I can't beleive it!" "That is why you fail." It's sometimes easier for people to have a better grasp on the Force, Rey is a very openminded girl and I get why she was able to grasp ot further. ANYWAAAAYYYYSSSSS! I loved it! I almost cried at the end when Rey was walking those stairs, I wished that my brother could be there beside me, thats the reason why I just enjoyed it, for him. But thank you for your comments It made me think about the movie more but I still hold to my opinion: It was AWESOME!)

Why do people like the AT-ATs? Their design is so awful.

Why do people like the AT-ATs? Their design is so awful. Well, it's a 1980s and "Star Wars"-esque design. Of course people would like it because of its iconic nature.
