Um, excuse you, I think you're thinking of the other anime: DBZ. In Naruto, our people were only temporarily brought back to the horror of those around them for the specific purpose of killing said horrified people. Against their will, might I add. Also: What anime were you watching where dead people stayed dead? Not CG. Do you remember Marianne Lamperouge?
I never watched DBZ, and yea you are right about Naruto, but I still count them as not dying. I mean, what is the point of mourning and crying over somebody when they are guaranteed to be brought back, granted its for some purpose but still. Marianne in a way had saved herself using her geass, so it's not even counted as her being dead. Lelouch thought that she was dead, but she never was. I never liked her, she was so full of it and frankly I never understood what she and Charles were trying, did you? Is there a difference between actually dying and being brought back, and being thought of as dead and being brought back? Both of them have the same emotional impact of mourning and then return that you were talking about. C2 and V2 were both killed dead several times, but they kept coming back, as well. And both Suzaku and Lelouch THOUGHT each other dead for a time before they were shown to be alive, which ties into that question I asked a moment ago. I don't know that anyone understands what the Britannia family was attempting. I'm not sure that anyone is meant to. They were basically attempting to make every single person in the world brain-dead. Really, they'd have had an easier time and similar outcome if they'd just freaking nuked the entire planet... |

YASS!! Finally I found a Code Geass thread <3 <3 So, I'm gonna go on a little ramble~ When Code Geass finished airing, I heard a lot of fangirling from people. But, tbh, I never gave any shit to it. My initial thought was that it was just a Death Note ripoff.. Also, the graphics work didn't seem appealing, neither did the character designs. But....all of that changed when I finally started watching the show.... Damn... I doubt there will be another anime like that ever again...
the whole show got me really excited. There were just so many twists and turns! The behavior which Lelouch showed during the later part of the series really got me on the edge of my seat. Finally, when he took the hate of the whole world on his shoulders and made Suzaku the hero...
I couldn't help but to shed manly tears.
Code Geass has been my number one anime ever since...
