A little review, cause why not~
The movie was average.
It didn't have a good story. Just the classic story where a pokemon falls in trouble and Ash does all he can to help it...
So yeah, pretty boring because we already had many movies with the same plot.
However, the story setup was made in Egypt and the movie environment had a wonderful feeling to it. That Egyptian music along with Hoopa acting as a Gene~ It was well done in my opinion. Also, full marks for the graphics. Undoubtedly, best graphics ever done on a pokemon movie.
Though the story was bad, there were lots of legendaries. Who doesn't like legendaries? XD
But Still...Just a really forgettable movie tbh... :/

I guess my issue was the lack of explanation for certain things...like their is no explanation for The primal forms of Kyogre and Groudon, or Rayquaza's mega evolving and it was just weird how Latios and Latias just mega evolved without a mega stone. The film just felt like it was relying to much on the audience to already be familiar with that stuff despite the fact that there are gonna people who would come out really confused Ah, I see. I personally think it was trying too hard to be a "Captain America: Civil War" kind of deal (even if this was released before that movie). what do you mean by that? I don't remember the legendaries fighting each other for ideaological disagreements lol |

I watched it in the theatre a few weeks ago and here's my opinion on it..
Pros
-The graphics were pretty nicely done.
-The legendaries were cool.
Cons
-The story is too bland, with the classic dumb storyline of Ash being the hero and all that.
-Just too many legendaries... It was just too much!
-The ending with Arceus was dumb and the part where space collapses and fades into oblivion resembles a past movie... The Rise of Darkrai XD
Overall, it wasn't too good....

I just watched the entire movie.
Pretty much everything I'll say was said already, so I'll hold my tongue.
But I WILL say this: a flying Kyogre? A swimming Groudon?
...
WTF?

I actually watched the entire movie again, because who doesn't like a massive crossover of Legendary Pokemon who hash it out on two sides, even if things are a little convoluted?
Now, for those who commented on the "good" graphics of the movie... Well, it does have good graphics, but there was something about the Legendary Pokemon (outside of Hoopa and Hoopa Unbound) that didn't sit right with me. Like, the animation was off-putting in more than a few instances that I could see.
I think they might have exhausted their budget when it came to animating the extra Legendary Pokemon.
