batman the dark knight rises was made the 3rd most amount of money in opening weekend That doesn't surprise me! It was definitely one of the most highly anticipated films of the summer.

A girl I followed (hint: past tense) on Tumblr just wrote a post that said, "The Batman movie was pretty disappointing." ................... Yeah. Had to unfollow her. It was a sad moment.

@muffin: I agree with you, I loved the Dark Knight Rises! People are only disappointed by the movie because: Batman was beat up early and wasn't only kicking ass the whole movie. People expect him to come in and beat up Bane and his crooks and then the movie's over. Well, it adds humanity to Batman's character to lose a fight. It also makes for a more interesting story, which some were unable to see, unfortunately.

Every good character has his/her flaws, it's what makes that character more realistic and more relatable to audiences. I don't like it when people complain about that sort of thing, because we all know if the plot was perfect and Batman won right away those same people would complain that he was "too perfect" or whatever -__-
I've seen quite a few people complaining that it wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be, too, which is kind of to be expected though. Most movie trailers make the movies they're representing seem a lot better than they might actually be, but I think it's a person's responsibility to go into a film with an open mind and not expect too much, that way you won't be disappointed in the end, ya know?

- Spider-man 3 - Star Wars: The Phantom Menace - Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
I'm sorry, I just had to post that after reading your response, Muffin, lol.

That would actually be an interesting topic for a thread all on its own, so if you'd like to make one go on ahead!

I was confused at the end...when Alfred was in the cafe at the end of the movie and he saw Bruce and Selina, was that for real? Oo was it his imagination again.?

@gmak: It was real, it was revealed that the autopilot was fixed at the end, and Batman apparently jumped out.

It was disappointing how Bane went from the important main antagonist to a minor henchman. I don't think they handled him well following his second fight w/ Batman, because after that one lady revealed herself as the villain, Bane seemed like a speechless drone, who's death was never emphasized or thought of as important.

I got so emotional xD It was disappointing how Bane went from the important main antagonist to a minor henchman. I don't think they handled him well following his second fight w/ Batman, because after that one lady revealed herself as the villain, Bane seemed like a speechless drone, who's death was never emphasized or thought of as important. I agree completely. Like, I enjoyed the plot twist they threw in there by revealing that Bane wasn't actually the mastermind behind all of the shit going on, but I hated the fact that they then just killed him off. His death was so anticlimactic, he's kicking ass the entire movie and then all of a sudden he just drops so easily. It was disappointing -__-
