... I want a sequel based on this. Hmmm... The "Angel Beats!" Wikia DOES say that blond guy might become the next Yuri. Maybe... Yeah... don't believe what ya read on Wiki. It's like listening to your Uncle's neighbor's friend's cousin's brother who heard from a guy about the next season of Angel Beats. Though in this case, it's obvious for this ending that the guy would become the next leader of the Afterlife Battlefront. But Key might take a different route with the story, as with Visual Novels there are multiple possible endings (same with the anime). They could even go for an entirely different setting and leave Otonashi's story up to the individual's interpretation. Edit: Unless Kanade dies really early in life again, I doubt the blond-haired guy will be the leader. Because Otonashi is waiting for her, ya know? If there is a next season, it'd probably follow with Kanade returning to the afterlife, with Otonashi and her having switched roles. Her being with the Afterlife Battlefront (or even leading it) while Otonashi tries to lead them all to find peace in death (and get through to Kanade this time). |
