LuciferIX they don't know what specific bird species they evolved into right? They just closely relate to birds... Beware the chickens. Well chickens are probably the most studied of the bird species (not hard to guess why) but if I remember right all bird species today evolved from a common ancestor species. And you're right, we don't know exactly which species followed the lineage to modern birds and which ones turned into dead ends. To know that we would need a DNA map of each species, but sadly DNA can't survive that long in a fossil so we have to use physiology to do most of the mapping. But thanks to that, we know that the ancestor that gave birth to the various species of raptor also produced the species that would eventually become modern birds. I hope that wasn't too confusing. Trying to simplify evolution isn't always the easiest. But once you understand it, it's opens up so many fascinating ideas and possibilities. Hmm no I follow! I've taken biology courses in university as well, even though I'm a business major haha. Looking at the evolution of each species is really interesting.. If only there was DNA somewhere we could use. DX But yeah... pretty much explains my fear of chickens... I'm kinda hoping the velociraptors in this movie don't give me a heart attack like the other movies. XD

XD Yeah that would be great if we could recover DNA from animals that long gone. But all the DNA to make a dinosaur is still there in the chicken. It's just that various genes have either been turned off or new ones turned on. With enough effort we very well could create an animal that is a virtual replica of a t-rex or velociraptor, but we'll probably never be able to make an exact recreation. But don't worry, you odd fear of chickens isn't completely unwarranted. There have been plenty of brids in the past who would be very worthy of that fear. The infamous terror birds are probably the best example, lol.

LuciferIX if there's one thing Jurassic Park has taught us... is to not make dinosaurs. But I still would like to see one, maybe in our lifetime.. even if it's not exactly like the real thing. I had to look them up... Yeesh. I'm glad it's dead.. Now the only birds I have to really be scared of are birds of prey...

It'll still be a while before we master genetics until that level. And at this point dinosaurs would be simply a danger to a small group of people, humans dominate the planet so well that there's virtually no species that's not bacteria or virus that really can harm us to any great degree. Hehe, fun aren't they? Yeah, don't worry. Even the largest birds of prey can't do more than injure a full grown human, we're too big to be meals. Well, no bird of prey alive today that is...

Gahh... I feel like I just watched the whole movie by just looking at that trailer... BUT YESSS. DID I SEE A VELOCIRAPTOR ATTACK A HUMAN at 2:07?! ... Good Velociraptor... good...
Why do I have a feeling that one of his 'trained' velociraptors will die and the scene will be very emotional..? Just a hunch I'm getting...

I know, right? What I'm afraid about from the implications the trailer is making is that the Indominus Rex is literally raising an army of dinosaurs to attack the humans that created them. Like, what? Is this "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" now? Except with dinosaurs? 'Cause last time I checked, I thought it was "Jurassic Park".

I hope the movie isn't like that... If I-Rex is that smart... then maybe that's why the raptors were attacking the paramedics. I mean, it was smart enough to take off the tracker... Oh God... I hope it doesnt become like Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I mean, I really liked that movie, but I wanna see more of the "Jurassic Park" style plot, not an old one with dinosaurs instead of monkeys. XD

After all, "Jurassic Park" and "Planet of the Apes" are two totally different concepts. If you wanna merge them together, by all means, go ahead, but DON'T slap the "Jurassic Park" brand on it.

A lot of the times trailers do stuff like that were they edit it in such a way that it seems like something completely different then it actually is

I'm sure we'll be in a lot of surprises for when we actually watch the movie. Can't wait!
