I'm not sure how I'd react if the writers actually did that, even though I quit watching the series a little after the Wallace Cup Arc, then briefly got back to watching it (i.e., the first few episodes of B&W), before stopping again.
But if they ever decide to do anything like it, then i really wish that they'd make Advanceshipping canon before doing so.
also, I'd rather have the writers not do anything than have them pairing Ash with someone else.

I guess it's time for me to start looking for and collecting the seven dragonballs.
Now, if only there was someone or something that could grant my wish.

I don't think they're going to remove him.
I understand why they were considering it though. Because a new generation of kids are watching Pokemon now and were thinking of replacing him with the male hero from Pokemon B/W part 2.
Though, now that N will be in the series, shit's gonna happen now.xD
And because of that, I think they'll be keeping Ash.
At least for now.
Since Ash and Pikachu are the best fucking friends in the whole Pokemon world, N would certainly take a liking to them.xD LOL.
But it might happen one day.
It'll make me sad, but if the Pokemon franchise (meaning games, show and manga) are still running, I think we'll still be fine. c:

Anyway, it hasn't been announced (not to my knowledge) that they'll be replacing Ash, so don't worry about it! c:
All that has been released so far is some new episodes and a new movie (if I'm not mistaken).

So it doesn't look like he'll be leaving any time soon.xD

I dont know what to say about this... it makes me sad if they really do take him out. but then he was kind of getting a little old... with the never aging and never becoming a pokemon master and the whole "who is his father" thing.

If they were to make hiim older with wife and kids... thats where I get nervous! Why? Because knowing that theres alot of first gen fans and stuff... they would defitnally ship him and misty... and its not fair!

And I wish they'd just make him fucking older already!xD Like, he should at least be 16 or 17 by now!!;____;
I also think they should spice it up a bit as well.
First of all, I'm tired of Pikachu being a newb when he enter's a new region. Second, I'm tired of seeing Ash being a newb himself just because he changes regions.
Thirdly, I feel like he doesn't remember any of his other journeys. Especially when it comes to legendaries.xD It's like he's clueless!
I think they should make him older, smarter (meaning, not a noob) and make the adventure a bit more different as well.
Like, maybe finding his dad and challenging him? Maybe his dad left them and he's champion of the world? I don't know.

Also, I don't think they'll ever make him married.;___; And if they did, it'd probably be a random character we never saw just to troll us.xD LOL!!

Well as I always said, the best chance we probably have of Advanceshipping, or any Ash shipping for that matter, would be to emulate the ending of the first cast of Digimon in where there was a quick few minutes of what each character wound up doing after they were done. The producers just don't care enough about the shippings as the series is active to make one canon.

Like the other day, I was watching BW where he battled i think the last gym leader and she had a koffing and he just had to take out his pokedex and "learn" what it was... I was like WTF! you battled one almost everyday in the first season how can you not know what it is?!

Actually, Iris and Cilan don't know any other region Pokemon. Ash just sharing a information to his friends. Like he pulled out the pokedex to show the twins about buziel and corphish. iris and Cilan don't really know about the eveeevolution

Pokemon with no Ash or Pikachu? That's like Super Mario with no Mario lol. The basically represent the franchise, though it is kinda lame that he isn't older or wiser. And how he went toe to toe with Tobias and he can't beat Trip? What the hell is up with that?

Ash has always been their cash cow. The writers and animators constantly use him to introduce the new kids to the anime. It'd be suicide, from a business standpoint, to suddenly replace him when he's been considered the "mascot", along with Pikachu, in the anime. It's not like Digimon where they constantly change, because the story ends with the previous characters. Ash is still 10 to appeal to the younger audience while the older audience just watches through sheer love of the series.

I would have liked Ash to have left after the Orange Islands and then begin the next set of characters, but when he stayed as the main character - it just told you he's their way of keep of continuing to broadcast the anime.

It's shameful, too. He once had the progression but then it just went downhill when the head honchos decided they get more profit by kids and just decided to axe any sort of REAL progression.

Though I do agree that Ash is their cash cow, I think they might replace him one day...
I mean, it was never considered once until recently. And I find, usually when they design new main character's for the games, they look older. But the hero's for B/W part 2 look very young in my opinion.
I think at the time, they were considering using them as the new character's. Especially when they made the PV animation for the release...

But I don't think they'll do it for sometime. He's still in the Unova region for now, so I don't think they'll remove him right in the middle of that.xD
Maybe they'll remove him in gen. 6. Who knows.
New kids will be watching it by then.
Though, I hope not.; u ; It'll be really awkward.

I've got no idea about what the writers have planned next. This is just a rumor now, but only time will tell. I really doubt they'd do something like that, but then again maybe they could. Looks like I'm unsure about a lot of things, lol.
Anyway, in case it does happen, and they decide to somehow get the fan's opinions about whom Ash should end up with, maybe through a poll or something like that; then we do have a very good chance. And though I don't even wanna think about us losing to the others, I know that it would never happen without us giving them a real challenge.

Yeah, they should really think about doing this, with an older Ash and May as the main cast of course.
And with a really interesting plot too.
