So about a month before this game came out a news program here in Australia did a brief report on this saying that it's one of the most expensive games ever made. Did all of that funding pay off in the end?

"Exclusive" ship of the special editions of Destiny is the same ship as one in game with a different name. To other players they are identical.

I'm sure it did.
It made about 500m dollars on the first day.

According to Activision, the game did not sell as well as they wanted and they lost $1.5 billion in valuation due to the launch.

I never really paid much to raids.. Are they really that hard?

That explains why it's on level 26 and needs coordination and communication.

@bigtimespider - it's not that hard, if you have the right set up and if you work together. Your equipment plays a big part because it's what will keep you and your teammates alive. Everyone has to do their part otherwise it will be a pain in the ass to complete even the first part. For example it a good idea to have a very diverse team, that have different skill sets.

If you have titans on your team try to have some running the Defender class, the shield special with Blessing of Light can give you and your teammates extra shields which will keep you alive. The Strike class is good for getting rid of a large group of enemies to give you room to breathe.

For Hunters the Bladedancer's ability to go invisible will come in handy when trying to revive teammates, enemies will ignore you giving you a chance to get your team up without any problems and the Gunslinger's Golden Gun is extremely useful during the last boss fight because you can produce orbs of light and at the same time deal heavy damage to enemies.

Warlock's Voidwalker is useful for taking down the void shields of the enemies and is probably the most useful since their are alot of enemies with void shields their special is useful for crowd control. The Sunsinger class I don't know much about this class so no comment.

As for communication, it's important to have some communication. I'd say try to have a min of three people with mics. I was the only one without a mic on my team because I didn't feel like looking for it and we were fine. The most important part is coordination try to assign jobs and positions before you start, have a plan and a backup plan.

As for equipment here I'll show you:

My weapon's aren't that amazing but they deal a good amount of damage. The only thing that was truly useful was the chest piece because of it's special trait.

wow this was a long post but I wanted to share everything I learned while doing this event. I just finished the raid today and got some pretty good items while doing it. I got to say it was pretty fun, in fact it is a lot more fun then regular missions and I wish more were like it.

I'll need to grab some teammates then!

I played with Amp earlier on a Queen's Wrath and I got obliterated by lvl 24 enemies while I was still 22 throughout the whole map. Even if I was 24, I would've still gotten beaten badly.

It's random. You can get the gear two different ways: From beating the two bosses of the raid or from any of the three chest that are in the vault. You get can one reward for beating the first boss and one or two rewards when you beat the second boss.

The second way is through chest found in the vault. There are three one before the first boss it's pretty hard to miss and two after you beat the first boss in Gorgon's Maze the first is to the left after you get to the bottom at the start of the maze. you will have to scale a short portion of the wall and go through a short tunnel. The second Chest is found by hugging the right wall of the Maze. (make sure that your whole team is there before you open the chest so that everyone gets their loot because chest tend to despawn after they are opened)

By the way you are not guaranteed those items, there are times when even if the boss is beaten some may not receive a reward and if you do get a reward it can be anything from a piece of the raid armor set, to legendary weapon with special abilities that are useful for the vault, to materials. It's all about luck. I got leg armor, a weapon, material and an armor shader just going through the vault once.

Oh and before I forget, you are gonna have to go through the vault more than once since the only way to get lv 30 is to fully upgrade raid gear and have once exotic. If you do decide to go through it more than once make sure it's not in the same week because you won't get rewarded for beating the bosses. You have to wait till every Tuesday when everything resets to try again.
