Me too, although Natsu slapping Gajeel's butt...the men were like "really? WHY!" the girls were more creeped out than anything lol Yes! Lucy was like what i've seen can't be unseen... died of laughter |

I've been musing over this for weeks and I'm no closer to getting an answer so maybe someone here can help me understand:
In episode 263 (2014 ep 88), Natsu takes on Mard Geer with Dragon Force. How the heck did Natsu slip into Dragon Force? In both previous instances of this occuring, he consumed pure Ethernano. This time though, it seems to be triggered by Gray's defeat. Does that mean Dragon Force is an acquired skill? Can it be developed so he can become like third-generation dragon slayers? Or does this have no explanation at all?
Also, am I the only one that wishes Mashima would write Gajeel in Dragon Force? He is the last first/third generation dragon slayer that has yet to experience Dragon Force. Or is his Iron Shadow Mode a replacement of Dragon Force?

Besides, do remember it's Fairy Tail we're talking about. It's been famous for the friendship magic and Natsu's rage and how he enters to Dragon Force is thanks to Gray. Dragon Force activates after consuming pure form of energy like the Ethernano and the Golden Flame(or whatever it is called in the Eng Sub/Dub).
It's likely that Dragon Force can be acquired after some requirements are met. Like how Natsu can control his Thunder Flame(or whatever it is) Mode. It would certainly be different than the third generation ones, the first ones would be stronger, as seen on the Natsu/Gajeel vs Sting/Rogue episode.
Nope. You're not alone there. Gajeel seems to suffer as the last person most times, like the Exceed one and this. I don't think that's the case. Natsu has a mode and Dragon Force, why can't Gajeel have? |

Seeing how Natsu has Lightning Flame Mode, it's safe to assume Gajeel's Iron Shadow Mode isn't a substitute for Dragon Force. |
