The first episode of the first season. Oh, okay. Well, for the record, it is set in the future, so the logistics would definitely not make any sense because they technically wouldn't exist in the first place. Yes, because the year 2020 (or whatever) is SO far off into the future, just like Back to the Future apparently 2015 had fucking hoverboards and people with ridiculous outfits.

I'm a firm believe of suspension of disbelief, other wise I wouldn't even enjoy playing video games, but this anime from the very first episode just throws me off in so many ways when it acts as if this could all be possible. Hell, Steins;Gate had fucking time travel and multiple time lines and that was more integrated well than SAO.

Starting 2022, for the record. And by Alicization Arc it's around 2026. The point is that while date-wise it isn't far off, the technology, if possible, is verrrry far off.

Who knows? Maybe some miracle will cause advancements in technology to skyrocket faster than we'd expect.

Who remembers that Kirito and Asuna shirt that I had signed by Cherami Leigh/Asuna? Well guess what! It is now signed by Kirito/Bryce Papenbrook! Dammit Yoh. Where do you go to get these? plus its a anime it doesnt have to have logic in all reality. or in this case, virtual reality No, it doesn't, which is fine as there is a thing called a suspension of disbelief. To be fair, one can't compare S;G to SAO. S;G kicks SAO's ass any day. And by Alicization Arc it's around 2026. The point is that while date-wise it isn't far off, the technology, if possible, is verrrry far off. Oh. Well, it's the future. Who knows? Maybe some miracle will cause advancements in technology to skyrocket faster than we'd expect. Well, while it would be nice to believe, Moore's law states otherwise. According to it, once 2020 comes around, computer tech advances will slow down. Mind you, it is but a conjecture. Not a physical law. We'd likely need quantum computers for that.
