That's totally awesome! I'd see that Hm...I wonder which characters would fit the roles?

This would be soo awesome but until I see it in theaters I wont get my hopes up to high. I did that for the Halo movie and I was devastated when they cancelled it.
I wonder how would the leap of faith or the duel hidden blades would look like on the big screen

I know what you mean Lightening. The same thing happened to me with a movie that was supposedly going to be created for my favorite book series. It was just a rumor that spread like a wild fire.

Yeah, it's going to be awesome to see how they take such iconic parts of the game and portray them in the film. I also really like the actor that's supposed to be playing Desmond and Altair.
I'd be really disappointed if they cancelled it D: I dunno, I think a lot of people in the film business just get nervous with game to movie adaptations thinking they'll flop, but as long as good companies pick it up it should be fine.

I don't why people get nervous. I think you have to take risk in these type of industries. Like Doom how many people seriously thought it was going to be as good as the game(btw loved the movie)

It's true that very few game movies are successful. Heck, the Resident Evil movies were pretty good, and yet a large majority of the fans hate them with a deep passion. If the movie is made, the same thing could happen.

@lightening: You're right, people should take the risk! However with the bad economy a lot of people don't think it's worth it. (I liked Doom too! I don't know why everyone said it was so bad)

I never watched it, but most reviews I've read about it said that it was a terrible movie, lmao xD The budget also exceeded the money they ultimately made off of the film.
I think AC has a strong enough and interesting plot that will translate well into a film. As long as a good writer gets on the job and creates something that's unique, will appeal to the masses, and is still familiar to us fans of the game, I think it'll do just fine.

LOL that one was a mega flop. I guess with a bad track record of games becoming films, the movie industry does have a reason to be nervous. Still, it's like you guys were saying, sometimes risks need to be taken.

I like the Mario movie. I think regardless of what happens its up to the individual to decide.
So the movie is going to be about Desmond and Altair?

Oh, definitely. There's a lot of movies I like that aren't exactly commercial successes either, but in a high budget industry like the film industry, revenue is extremely important in determining the quality of films.
And yeah, that's what it's looking like, so it will probably focus on the plot of the first game as well. I personally liked playing AC II much better, but I love storylines in all of the games.

The problem I see with following the first games plot for a movie is that there was almost none. Although movie makers could add one. I would much rather see more of Ezio, he was awesome.

Knowing game movies though, they'll probably come up with a completely new character and add in a few cameos.
