And fucking captain america they kept roasting on him the whole movie. Thurs just Thor. Fucking hilarious. Yeah, I can see it. Just like I'm totally Captain America. Just came back from age of Ultron(NO SPOILERS)..............................What movie have you people been watching? I read all these reviews saying "It's not as good as the first movie" or "Ultron wasn't that great of a villain" and "It's just a retread of the first film"............Seriously How are people thinking this?? I get that everyone has different opinions, but I could just not see these flaws that people keep bringing up. Ultron wasn't that great? He was one of the best villains in the MCU!! right up there with Loki and Kingpin!! He's still the same character from the comics, just more Whedonized which is a good thing. He is by far the scariest villain in the MCU, the guy is intimidating! but he still pulls of Stark's mannerisms which was just frightening and there are even moments were you feel bad for the guy....or robot and his plan at the end of the film is just........so comicbook insane!!! Whedon really emphasizes on the idea that although Ultron hates humans, he's just as human himself and that was brilliant!
The interaction between all the avengers was great as expected, and you really feel the tension between them this time around. The comedy is of course a stapple of Whedon's style and it sure worked in my opinion. My man Hawkeye finally gets some love! and that was great!! You really connect with him in this one, and he's pretty much the eyes and ears of the film, which as a fan of his character I greatly appreciated. The Twins were also pretty damn good! yeah the accents were VEEERRRY over the top but I was able to looked past that because I really did feel for them and their motives behind hating the Avengers. And man oh man did this movie have so many moments that had me screaming like a fangirl in my seat, the final scene before the credits was such a tease!!! almost had a heart attack! I literally screamed in frustration!! and if you can get me to do that, then you've done a pretty good job! and the mid credits scene.........it was quick, like really quick but I clapped and yelled so hard that my hands and throat hurt.
Only real issue with the film is that the first act is REEEEEEEEEEAAAALLLY fast paced, it really feels like a lot of stuff was chopped up just to get the plot moving, and I think if you don't really pay attention you could very easily get confused.But overall The film takes everything I loved about the first film and enhanced it, and if you know me, you know that The Avengers was a my favorite movie in existence and now that spot is taken by this film 100000000000000000/10 from fanboy stand point, and 9.9/10 from my realistic stand point

It's just one big wall of text and it's kinda hard for me to read it all. Anyway, that aside, you should know that a majority of the audience is most likely not pretty aware of anything comic book-related outside of the movies, so they probably wouldn't understand what the point was behind the movie. Just saying. |

I watched it with my friends, and they no 0 things about comic books, and they had no problem following the movie, if only the geeks could understand the movie then it wouldn't be a very good movie would it Well, I'm basing my experience on the 2014 Godzilla movie; clearly most people were uninformed about Godzilla and the franchise. Then I guess this means you must NEVER trust the reviews, take a risk, and go for your gut, because you'll never know if you somehow wind up in the minority that likes a movie. most of the people I know liked Godzilla 2014, some aren't even huge godzilla fans. I don't like a movie just because I'm a fanboy, that's just a bonus. I don't like a movie just because I'm a fanboy, that's just a bonus. I like good movies, and plenty of the reviews and reactions from people I've seen for AOU agree that it was a good movie, and most aren't comic fanboys, just casual people who have been watching the movies and loving them Then I guess professional reviews are never to be trusted. Enjoy the movie yourself without knowing if it's supposed to be good or not beforehand. |
