Not bad, always find at least one shiny per generation of games. Already got mine this time around.
Have to say, not bad at all. Helps too that all three of my original Gen III games have gone and disappeared on me.
I also have to add one more thing, Branden is really laying it thick in the early teen way of wanting to be with May.

Yeah too bad they're never all that useful though, most barely count as a trophy catch. I mean a shiny is a shiny, but Linoone? Couldn't they at least give me something a bit more than a glorified Raticate? Still want my Scyther back. Lost it back in Gen II...

So far, the only Shinies I've gotten this gen are a Lampent, a Stunfisk, and my Metagross.

Still, Shinies are hard to come across, aren't they? Not really since they made the games easier Well I know they increased the chances with the Pal Park thing in X and Y, which I got 2 or 3 off of like most people, but I don't think that they increased the chances outside of that place. That and the breeding method, but have only gotten one after all the eggs I've hatched. Thankfully I was never actively trying for shinys, otherwise I'd have been real pissed after all those hours wasted, lol. Well, I haven't found any so far. So far, the only Shinies I've gotten this gen are a Lampent, a Stunfisk, and my Metagross. Eh, you'll find them eventually. My luck sadly only gives me barely worthwhile ones. They're found, a slight MI is had as I watch and hope that each attack doesn't kill the damn thing, then they get stuck in a box where they never see the light of day again.

In X and Y, there were quite a few ways to increase your chances of getting shinies, from the fishing chaining to the... Matsuda method (using Pokemon from different countries to breed)? It's a bit early to know the methods for ORAS, if there are any at all. I'm just happy that breeding was made slightly easier xD Shinies are usually useless. Either you get it on a Pokemon that you don't like/want, their IV's/nature turn out to be utter crap, or they just can't compete in battle compared to other Pokemon. Because you can't choose which one is shiny, and when you find one. So... as Matt says, if I ever find on (I've found maybe two ever, not including the Red Gyarados) they will end up in the box... forevah!

If Wally were to have an English Voice Actor, it would be Yuri Lowenthal. I can actually see that. Especially after that stomping I received at the Battle Mason from him. "You're not hurt are you? Crybaby..."
