Yup. And the cool thing is they're going back to the classic Japanese Godzilla I don't remember the last one that much...saw it years ago.. But I do remember it wasn't related to Japanese Godzilla Yeah the 98 film's Godzilla looked..well weird xD |

The 1998 Godzilla movie isnt that bad XD Yeah honestly speaking it wasn't that bad, I still like it  But if you compare it to the Japanese one, and just plot-wise, it ain't great XD |

The 1998 Godzilla movie isnt that bad XD Yeah honestly speaking it wasn't that bad, I still like it But if you compare it to the Japanese one, and just plot-wise, it ain't great XD When it has a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes and everyone gave it horrible reviews, yeah it's not bad... if you're high. It was also nominated for many Razzie Awards and even won Golden Raspberry Awards. Another thing, Toho themselves didn't even count him as Godzilla and just gave him the name "Zilla" because they thought TriStar took out the "God" from "Godzilla" in their version of the movie. In the movie "Godzilla: Final Wars", Godzilla fought Zilla... the fight lasted 15 seconds. |

I'm looking forward to this one. Just hope it's not overhyped like a lot of movies these days. Plus, I've heard that they've been thinking about doing a Pacific Rim and Godzilla crossover.

From Guillermo del Toro himself: So, no plans for it... for now. I'm not expecting much, except it being a gritty, American version of Godzilla... I always loved the Showa Era of Godzilla... it was campy, but it was awesome. |

Well, it figures that they're inclined to think American stereotypes because this is an AMERICAN-MADE production. Me, I think it's close enough to the traditional Japanese design (but then again, I can barely see it in its entirety in the TV spots, so...). |
