We were dealing with Missile Bomb after the seventh gym and encountered a glitch in Crystal. And we had no Save file back up so we got sent back to Ilex fucking forest with just 2 budges. We eventually did find a Dave file before the 7th gym so it wasn't a complete crisis.

The lore has it that 'bet-boy' (the glitch text referred to a bet-boy) had come to claim BABA's debt. I don't know all the details though. The subreddit will have it.
