What's going on, guys and gals? I'm PichuAuraGuardian18, and today, I'm here with a huge bit of PokeNews!
All right, so as a lot of you know by now, the October 2013 Corocoro scans were leaked, giving us a look at a bunch of new Pokemon and other aspects of the Kalos Region. First off, I'll start with one part I'm particularly excited about, the starters' next-stage evolutions!
As you can see, Chespin evolves into that chubby guy in the upper left corner of the picture called Hariboogu. It's a pure Grass-type and it can apparently learn Mud-Shot.
Next, Fennekin is able to evolve into a Pokemon known as Teerunaa, a pure Fire-type. It is able to learn Psyshock.
Then, the third one in the bottom right-hand corner and my personal favorite is Gekogashira, Froakie's evolution. It's a pure Water-type and can learn Bounce.
Now, here's a bunch of new Pokemon. The white dog Pokemon is known as Torimian. It's a Normal-type and it has a new ability known as Fur Coat that reduces physical damage. Apparently, you can customize its appearance, so I'm guessing it's sort of a poodle Pokemon.
The two cats below it are both known as the new Pokemon Nyaonikusu. Its male form is the one on the right and its female form is the one on the left. Their movepools vary by gender, making the male form more of a supporter with its Miracle Eye attack and the female is an attacker with Extrasensory. Their abilities can be either Keen Eye or Infiltrator.
Also, we now know our fossil Pokemon of the Kalos Region! First, we have the T-Rex Pokemon known as Chigorasu, which is a Rock/Dragon-type and has the new ability Hard Jaw that increases the power of its biting moves, such as Crunch. The other fossil Pokemon is the Rock/Ice Amarusu, and it has the new ability known as Freeze Skin, turning all of its Normal-type moves into Ice-type moves. It can learn Aurora Beam.
Okay, so I'm sure you all want to know about the new Mega-Evolutions, so here they are:
First, we have MegaMewtwo X, Mewtwo's Mega-Evolution exclusive to X Version. The form that we saw before in the new movie is its Y form, only found in Y Version. They use the items Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y. MegaMewtwo X becomes a Psychic/Fighting-type and has the ability Steadfast.
Then, there's MegaGarchomp, who has the ability Sand Force. Not much detail there.
Moving on, we finally have information on Fairy-type's affect on the rest of the types. Here's the new type chart:
As we now know, Fairy-type is strong offensively against Fighting, Dark, and Dragon while it is weak offensively to Fire, Poison, and Steel. Defensively, Fairy is weak to Poison and Steel; it resists Bug, Fighting, and Dark; and it is immune to Dragon. That being said, Steel has been weakened defensively a bit as it no longer has resistance to Dark and Ghost attacks. Not sure why this change was made, but we'll have to wait and see.
Now, another bit of news that we all will probably be excited about is that you can customize trainers at the Boutique/Salon with an actress that you can also battle known as Karune. Also, Team Flare has five scientists: Kuseroshiki, Momiji, Bara, Akebi, and Corea. Apparently, they are seeking a "beautiful world." Not sure what this means, but I do know that Trubbish is probably in trouble. XD
Okay, so now some anime information! We now know that Ash's traveling companions will be Serena (TOTALLY CALLED IT!!!!), Clemont, the gym leader with robotic arms that uses Dedenne, And Clemont's little sister, Bonnie. My guess is that Clemont is going to be an Electric-type Gym Leader. Also, apparently, there is to be a mysterious man with a Mega-Blaziken in the anime. Not sure who it is, but it is exciting.
