Enraged, she decided to confront the figure.

But upon hearing her cry out in anger, the thief turned in panic, his hood slipping off as he did so, revealing his face.

Speechless, she couldn't react. For upon closer inspection, the figure didn't seem to have a face.

"Please don't be alarmed" the faceless thief urged, "For I was placed under a spell long ago that made me like this."

[Marksman]

The Princess seemed tongue-tied by this information, unable to piece it all together, so she asked, "Why does a faceless thief waste his time with fruit that he cannot eat, when jewels and treasures were just around the corner?"

The thief replied sadly that once, he'd had no need for treasures; but when he'd come to this land and seen its hardships, he'd begun to collect food for those who could not do so themselves--the elderly, the weak, and the children.

The thief then pooped his pants

The princess gave him a disgusted look because the smell had just hit her nose. She offered him to stay in the palace so he can get himself cleaned up.

"Alas, I must depart," the thief said hurriedly. "I have somewhere I must be."

The princess begged to at least be told his name, but the charming thief had already vanished, leaving her alone.

The thief now gone, and no longer remembering what she had been doing before, she wondered if she should tell her father about the man she had met and warn him of his nature; but was that the right thing to do?

But at the same time, she found the air of mystery around the man intriguing, and surprisingly found the hope that she would see him again someday.

Months had passed, and the only thing Sapphire would have on her mind was the faceless thief, the one who had captivated her mind so.

She woke from yet another dream of the man-in-question, and decided to get some fresh air to clear her thoughts.

Upon reaching her garden balcony, she remembered the dreadful truth--her arranged marriage to the spoiled Prince Ruby was to occur in one week's time.
