So... anyone else absolutely hate the HIMYM finale? YES!!!! I thought I was gonna be crying in joy that one of the greatest tv shows ended, but now im just so upset with this, I don't even know where to begin!!!!! Everything I loved about himym was ruined and any good lesson I learned from that show just got shit on for some shit ending. Apparently they had the ending down for a while, but seriously, why do they do this to us. It was stupid!!!!! -______- Disapointing.

So... anyone else absolutely hate the HIMYM finale? The entire last season I was telling myself that the mother was probably dead....I didn't actually want to be right....
I think the thing that bugs me the most though is that Barney just ends up with "31". And the whole episode just felt kind of forced to reach an ending that wasn't that great.

I also really hate how they made Ted and Robin get together... just totally undermines all the development they had throughout the entire show. It's as if the moral of the story is that even after a woman repeatedly rejects you, have hope because she'll love you when your wife dies.

If they wanted to pull that off, they needed more than just an hour to fit it all in...

Not to mention that it was so predictable once it got going. You could call everything that was going to happen before it did. Heck, I even saw the bus coming before it drove by. I literally pointed at the screen and said "cue bus" just before it happened. The series was great, but the finale didn't do it justice. Not even close.

SO MANY SPOILERS BELOW, FAIR WARNING TO ANYONE READING. xD I really couldn't agree anymore. It was such a brilliant and funny story. I loved all of the ups and downs in the series, but I genuinely believe everything was finally coming to an end, and that it was doing so in a way that wasn't shocking or mind-blowing, but at least it gave the characters closure. And sometimes, it's better to do that than choosing to end with 100 plot twists in the last 10 minutes. Real time and TV time are two different things entirely. You can't end the show swag that with such big and heavy stuff transpiring in a matter of minutes--seconds, even--in TV time. Including all of that stuff in there was unnecessary and didn't resolve anything. And I don't care what anyone says about the show trying to be realistic... that wasn't realistic at all. Even so, it's a TV show. Just give us the damn happy ending. Happy endings do exist. They treated the mother as if she was just an incubator for Ted's babies. She and Ted had something so special and the writers basically just said well, life's tough, she's dead, move on. Even if she still died, putting Ted and Robin back together was so awful. It felt swag the creators were 12 year olds holding onto their OTP and refusing to let go despite all logic. And they totally disrespected everything beautiful about Barney and Robin's relationship. I'm really bitter about this, because it wasn't just one bad episode... it ruins the entire show for me. And that's so heartbreaking.

HIMYM's ending makes me so depressed. All I learnt from that show is that even if a woman says you can never work out don't worry! Get married and let your wife die, raise your kids alone for a few years and then tell them a story that wasn't really about the mother in the first place. Go to you ex's apartment who happened to still be single and have the same dogs and get together. How I Met Your Stepmother much?
I mean I like the idea of the ending if I didn't get to like the mother so much and love Robin and Barney so so much.
-continues to cry-

I would have liked the ending if they did that like, season one or two... then again, I wouldn't have invested so much into this. And exactly, that's just wrong. xD They just don't work out and I'm still upset by this!!!! ;____; Barney wouldn't have given up that easily. They rushed it way too damn much. Even if they did divorce, what they did the last, like 10 minutes was just wrong on so many levels. I'M STILL ANGRY!!!
