I honestly think that they would be dumb to make it into a full blown series. Sure, Red's cool and all, but we've been through this before with Ash. It would be pointless to expand this, regardless if the differences between the two. Rehashing would inevitably occur, and just because super-badass-so-much-better-than-Ash Red is the main character doesn't change much. They both have much of the same morals; they both collect gym badges and combat evil when given the chance. Plus, it would just be a retelling of the games. We know the whole storyline, and timeless as it is, it gets boring. I'd rather have a completely different spin off series, maybe something revolving around a Ranger or a villain, then another gym badge adventure. Eh not entirely, you're right in the fact that it would still be gym battles but the fighting evil thing would be much more prevalent. Instead of Team Rocket simply being annoying they are actually a real threat in trying to take over Kanto with an organized plan. It would be a better focused story too without all of Ash's side adventures, which are hit and miss though generally do little for the story as a whole. The legendary Pokemon also have a far more appealing piece there outside of a cameo to reveal themselves and the gym leaders are there for more than their gym battle. In the end though the game still doesn't give the manga's story enough credit. So they can still get a good series out of it, but there would be overlap at least with the gym battles.

Still, I'd love it if it was more like Adventures....

Yeah, I feel if they kinda combined the game and the manga, it would be refreshing, more developed, and maybe the writers could actually reveal a few secrets to us. What does Red sound like? What was the basis of the wars, and are they over or still going on secretly/on their way to happen again? How did Team Rocket 'survive' after Red and Gold disbanded them? I definitely wouldn't feel bored or anything about this series, because it would be different, would be a flash in the past, and SHOULD be a more serious thing.
If Ash was more like the manga, that would be nice too. Not GREAT, but better lol.

I'd rather have a completely different spin off series, maybe something revolving around a Ranger or a villain, then another gym badge adventure. You make a good point. Personally, I'm hoping for a spin-off series focusing solely on Pokémon Contests. I know we've seen a lot through AG and DP, but honestly, I'm interested to see what a Contests-only series would offer. Yeah, I feel if they kinda combined the game and the manga, it would be refreshing, more developed, and maybe the writers could actually reveal a few secrets to us. What does Red sound like? But of course, the anime HAS to be for the kids.

I would have liked to have seen how a "full-blown series Badass Red" anime would tackle the whole "Gotta catch 'em all - Complete your Pokedex bitch" aspect of the anime that has been all-but forgotten

Now the show's moved on to that whole cruddy theme of friendship and teamwork that we've seen since DP. I'm not saying that I hate friendship and teamwork as a whole, but the theme is contributing to the anime's progressive downfall.

That cruddy theme you speak of has been around scince the start of the series. Just take a look at the first season and try not to tell me that "The power of friendship and teamwork" isn't a re-ocurring theme. Hell, it's been a re-occuring theme scince the GenI games.

I haven't. You shouldn't even be a member if you haven't played the games. Thanos - Yeah, well, ignoring him, you probably should buy at least one of the games. Outside of shippings the anime is usually not as good as the games.

Well then, friendship and teamwork have suddenly become more of a focus than ever in recent years, tied with the whole "wanna-become-a-Pokémon-Master" thing. You shouldn't even be a member if you haven't played the games. Thanos - Yeah, well, ignoring him, you probably should buy at least one of the games. Outside of shippings the anime is usually not as good as the games. I have Pokémon Pearl. And I never played the Gen I games because I was a toddler at the time, with no absolute awareness about them.
