Most likely fans will pressure them to make it a full blown anime

Well, in the case of a full-blown anime, would that really be possible? From what it looks like, this special goes through Red and Green's final battle at Indigo Plateau. Even if they made a series of everything in between, it'd be spoiled for us already. I suppose the only way to do a series is if they went ahead and did the Johto stuff or just had Blue (Female) go on her journey.

I don't know if I want Red, Green, and Blue to be based off their game or manga counterparts. So hard to choose :') In a good way though.

Well, if they even include the girl (I refer to her as Blue, because that's her original name) in the special it would cause continuity problems if they were based on the games. In the original games, she didn't technically exist, even though the initial plan was to include her. So she might not appear at all....

Sure it already does some of the spoiling but they can only fit so much in that 20-30 minutes anyways. I doubt many people will be that upset considering adventure stories like this are worth just as much if not more of how they got to the end and not the ending itself.

If a full blown anime would happen, maybe pass the battle and not pass the ending. That way, they can do the anime and all leading to that moment.

So we already know the storyline regardless.

Of course we would still watch it. And who knows? Maybe we'll learn something that the games couldn't teach us. Like what happened to Green's Ratticate.

I'm just speculating how they would turn this kind of thing into a full-blown anime when a couple aspects of the story are shown already in this special.

I honestly think that they would be dumb to make it into a full blown series. Sure, Red's cool and all, but we've been through this before with Ash. It would be pointless to expand this, regardless if the differences between the two. Rehashing would inevitably occur, and just because super-badass-so-much-better-than-Ash Red is the main character doesn't change much. They both have much of the same morals; they both collect gym badges and combat evil when given the chance. Plus, it would just be a retelling of the games. We know the whole storyline, and timeless as it is, it gets boring. I'd rather have a completely different spin off series, maybe something revolving around a Ranger or a villain, then another gym badge adventure.

When you look at it that way Foxwolf22, you make an awesome point. But by making it a full blown anime and introducing Red, it will add freshness to a series that quite frankly is getting old.
