Here's what Ithink will happen. The first half of the special will cover how they got their first Pokemon and how their first gym battle went. The second half of the special will time skip to their final battle at the end of the Elite 4. Exactly what I was thinking

The second half of the special will time skip to their final battle at the end of the Elite 4. That actually makes quite a lot of sense. Though I would personally prefer there to be more details of their journies, such as battling Team Rocket and such. Another thought: What if they bring back all the original voice actors from the Indigo League series for the gym leaders/Elite Four? That would make my entire life.....

For the official Japanese version I don't think that it would be that much of a problem and there's a reasonably good chance that they'd do it if the seiyuu would be willing. As for the dubbed version that one is a bit harder. That one is based off of more what company does the dubbing. They each have their preferred actors, if even employed full time, and the rights to the Pokemon anime changed hands since the original series. So while it's not a definite no, it's not something to get your hopes up for.

As great as those voices would be, I highly doubt it. There's also the possibility that it won't be dubbed. Remember that we never got the DP extra episodes with Brock and Dawn in English dubbed form.

Oh well, when it comes to anime subs are superior to dubs in the end.

Yup, only a couple dubs have been worthy of being called "better than the sub" (Code Geass, for example)

*backs away a bit*
Okay then... Anyway, I think that with how well the games did in U.S. and other countries, that it will eventually be translated for our enjoyment. Eh, all we can do is hope. Either way, I'm watching it.
