Been too long to remember a scene in particular but most of the Kuno scenes were definitely worthy of being the best.

As for the manga I thought I read it but considering it's not in my archives I guess not. I would check myanimelist but in a bit of a hurry right now. Normally though the base series is better overall, and I believe that Ranma was originally a manga.
