Granted, Battle Frontier was entertaining to watch, but imo, a lot of potential was wasted in Ash's revisit to Kanto. No familiar landmarks truly returned, besides Pallet Town/Viridian City and what not.

With how 'Spurt!' ended up, I'm pretty sure that this isn't a sign of events to come I'm afraid. That and the Decolora Islands appear to be too remote for past characters to just show up.
