Considering I started up watching Azumanga Diaoh again, I figured that this thread could be something to get another discussion going.
What are your favorite anime?
I have quite a few so I'll span a few genres.
Clannad and Clannad~After Story -Easily my favorite family based anime, although the first season oddly in my opinion wasn't as good as the second.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni -Some might remember mentioning this in my latest fic as influence on a scene. It can be a little gory at times, but nothing too over the top compared to some of the other things I've seen. It's murder mystery sci-fi
Full Metal Panic -A bit of a spoof on mecha anime, but especially one of the OVAs it can be quite hilarious along with being a serious anime.
Lucky Star -A slice of life genre that's rather random and funny but easy to relate to different characters. Especially gamers.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann -A great classic fast paced action/coming of age mecha anime. Kamina has become a bit of a meme lately and this is the anime he's from. Definitely will bring a smile to your face by the end of the series.

I'll probably be adding to this list in future posts.
Generally speaking, I prefer to read manga just because it comes directly from the mind of the artist. When those stories are converted into anime, sometimes the studios producing the shows take a little too much creative liberty.
Anything that was originally a manga by Rumiko Takahashi is golden in my book. Inuyasha and Ranma are my top two, Inuyasha because it was the first anime series I got really into aside from Pokemon when I was in the eighth grade, and Ranma because it's just so awesome, lol xD
The Naruto animes and I have an on and off relationship with one another. I watched the original series in full when I was younger and was head over heels for it (still love it), but I stopped keeping up with the episodes when Shippuden came out because I wasn't too big on how they were handling it. I'll watch every now and then now because I love the series, though.
Lovely Complex is probably my favorite shorter running anime. So much hilarity and cuteness in just twenty-four episodes!
I'm working on Blue Exorcist right now, and it's quickly becoming another favorite as well.

Gosh darnit, TOO MANY! ok, I really enjoy the yugioh anime, all 4 different universes of it, beyblade, Pokemon, and the honorable mention to DBz. I also like Ouran High School Host club and The World God Only Knows. I can't remember any more at the moment...

For me it's Full Metal Alchemist at the top with Inifnite Stratos right behind it at second place.

No problem but I think Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is much better than the original Fullmetal Alchemist. In Fullmetal Alchemist some parts were pretty dumb and Hohenheim was useless in Fullmetal Alchemist.

You're right. Brotherhood actually goes with the manga (I still really liked the frst one though).

Ever since I got my laptop, I've been watching up on different animes. Pokemon & Digimon (Childhood reignition), Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Naruto, Cardcaptors (Again, Childhood reignition), Case Closed/Detective Conan, Ranma 1/2, One Piece, and admitably...Rosario + Vampire...I really regret that one.

Idk. It said something to do with vampires, so I thought that there would be violence and fighting. I was trying to get a chapter done for PLOU and was on Bulbapedia when I saw an ad for it.

I'm not really an anime guy. Pokemon and the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist are the only anime I enjoyed. Gurren Lagann to I guess,
