If Ash was put on a random blind date and it was May, how would he react? I think, naturally, he would be shocked to see that he was set up on a blind date with one of his closest friends. But at the same time I think he would also be relieved, because going out on the town with someone that you've known for a long time and is your best friend is much more comfortable than going out with someone you've never met. He'd be able to relax and be himself, they'd be able to do fun things they know they both enjoy, and so on.
As the date progressed, I think Ash would be really happy that May ended up being his blind date. After thinking about the things they've done and talked about while in a proper date setting, it might also make him realize that the two of them should go on more dates and would make a really good couple ;D

Darn it Muffin, you took everything I was going to say and made it better! I must be creativeIf Ash was put on a random blind date and it was May, how would he react? Of course Ash would be surprised, after all, why would anyone set him up with May? As Ash sits down, he slowly changes to happiness that out of any person it was his best friend. The date starts off awkward because Ash doesn't now how to treat May on the occasion, but it quickly dies out to mutual comfort once May reassures Ash to just be himself. Ash has such a great time on the date, that before putting much thought behind it, he asks May out again. He's shocked by his decision, and even more so when May happily agrees to his request. When Ash is home, he has a strange feeling of giddy happiness that he can't explain....yet

Haha, sorry, Sierra! You answer was awesome, though Ash's Torterra or May's Venusaur, in a battle? Hmm, I'm not sure I quite understand the question. Could you be a little more specific?

This is more of Ash vs May than AS, but I didn't know where else to put it. If Ash and May battled, and Ash's Torterra fought May's Venusaur, which would win?

Ahh, I gotcha. Well, I don't really see a problem with a topic like that, as long as we can somehow incorporate Advanceshipping in it as well.
I'm not a huge expert on battles or anything, but I'll go with Venusaur just because I prefer it :-P
How would Ash feel if May beat him in the battle? And on the flip side, how would May feel if Ash beat her?

How would Ash feel if May beat him in the battle? And on the flip side, how would May feel if Ash beat her? I feel like I've answered this before... >_>
Ash would first be a little disappointed that he lost, but then have an overwhelming sense of pride that May had improved so much as to actually beat him.
May wouldn't care, she'd just be happy for Ash and would congratulate him on his victory. After all, May knows that Ash is far more experienced then her and thus she shouldn't put too much stock into beating him.

What would/do you say to someone who says AS is a typical Ash-Regional Pokegirl ship?

What would/do you say to someone who says AS is a typical Ash-Regional Pokegirl ship? I would say that while the act of pairing Ash with one of his several female traveling companions might be a typical one, the relationship that he and May share is far from being typical. In my opinion, they have a very special friendship with one another that serves as the base for a unique and wonderful shipping. The interactions they've had on the show and the hints that Advanceshipping has accumulated are unique, genuine, and thoughtful hints that differ from the hints other Ash x Pokegirl shippings

Once again my answer is a lot like Muffins! ^^
I would tell those people that while yes, she is another Pokegirl, there is far more than a typical ship here. May is the first and only girl whom Ash treats and is treated by as an equal. Ash might have originally been a mentor, but May quickly caught up to him by observing his battles and gaining a deeper understanding of Pokemon. May is the only character in which Ash shares a lot in common with, and she is the one girl he is most in tune to her feelings. Ash always comforted May or was there to protect her when something "scary" or "bad" was happening. This rarely, borderline never, happens with any other Pokegirl. That is why AS is so special.

What would/do you say to someone who says AS is a typical Ash-Regional Pokegirl ship?If you notice, with every single other Ash/Regional Pokegirl ship, Ash is immature, naive, and childlike - in fact, for Best Wishes, he was even reverted back to his young 10 year old self. Advanceshipping was the only exception - May brought out the mature, thoughtful, mentor Ash. For the first time, he was able to develop as a character. Not only that, Ash and May were very similar in ways, and I think for a while Ash saw that and therefore connected with her. Not only that, Ash introduced May into the world of Pokemon, and essentially, he changed her life. All the other pokegirls had already been exposed to Pokemon in some way or another...but May hadn't. Ash gave her a dream - that's more valuable than any tangible thing in the world. That's why Advanceshipping is so unique. Ah yes, and I bring a gift to brighten this place a bit... A new banner of mine...yes, I've been messing around with different styles. It's fun, if anything (;

Wow, great answer Princess! That's probably the best thing you could say to defend Advanceshipping!

Such great answers from both of you! I love hearing everyone's insights on topics like these, it's really great ^_^ Oh, and a lovely banner as well, Princess! I like the way all the colors go together, very nice Here's another topic: How would Ash defend May if he saw or overheard someone insulting her?

I think he would be pretty brash and put them in their place. And those banners were lovely.
